Captivated by Fragrances Ballet, Perfume Enthusiasm, and Finding the Perfect Scent
Perfume is artificially created scent, but a good perfume not only pleases oneself but also uplifts the mood of people around. Fragrance stimulates human emotions and, when it's not overpowering but subtle and appropriate, it feels as if it symbolizes that person.
In perfumes, prices vary greatly depending on the quality and brand, and new perfumes continue to be created, making it not easy to find the perfect fragrance for oneself. I still believe that there is a perfume that is unique to me somewhere, and perfume companies constantly produce new fragrances, so interest in perfumes is unlikely to fade away.
For the sake of cleanliness, humans constantly wash themselves, or else they will have an odor. Perfume is like a trickster that temporarily makes one think it's their own scent. Despite knowing that, one even gets captivated by the allure of the lingering scents of perfumes.
Personally, I love ballet. I also follow the Instagram accounts of world-renowned ballerinas, including the most active one named Maria Khoreva.
Since her days as a student at the Vaganova Ballet Academy, she has showcased her talent as a Russian ballerina. She gained fame well before becoming a professional dancer. Engaging with her fans through social media, she continues to stay connected. Even during the pandemic, she generously created and shared ballet training videos for free, making the most of the time that could have been idle at home. Despite not being a dancer myself, I found her explanations on ballet movements to be invaluable. Regularly following her guidance, I have been able to strengthen my muscles effectively.
Among the videos, she posts are not only ballet variations but also various topics such as fashion, cosmetics, ballet attire, and more.
One photo that caught my eye was her collection of perfume bottles, where she gathered all kinds of perfume bottles. It was a photo that proved she is a perfume enthusiast, with perfumes of different colors, designs, and brands.
While one or two were familiar brands, the rest were perfumes I had never seen before, so I looked at them with interest.
Among them, she personally recommended a perfume called MANCERA PARIS ROSES GREEDY / EAU DE PARFUM, which comes in a transparent rose-colored bottle with a gold label.
I was so curious because she praised it so much. Choosing a perfume without smelling it is like gambling, so I hesitated but decided to purchase it once I became interested in ROSES. It cost 200,000 Kwn ( around 180 USD), and I bought it from Coupang.
It took around 15 days to arrive.
The scent was stronger and spicier than I expected, with a slightly heavier fragrance suitable for late summer. It didn't have a strong love-hate divide, but it was just right once applied. Instead of concentrating it in one place, it's better to spray it into the air and let the residual scent naturally settle on the body, creating a subtle lingering fragrance.
The second perfume I purchased is VETIVER D'HIVER ARMANI / PRIVE.
I like this perfume so much that I use it every day. It has a calm citrus scent that suits all seasons. It's packaged in a bottle with a touch of sky blue, which gives a somewhat cold impression, but it also has a hint of orange citrus scent, making it warm. It's a gender-neutral fragrance that both men and women would enjoy.
There are various smells and fragrances in the world.
As humans with creative DNA, we need something that periodically stimulates such creativity. Perfume is one of those things.
A single perfume brings to mind countless adjectives. It can even become a poem or a piece of literature.
In this humid and hot summer of 2023, trying a fragrance that suits you for a change of mood would be nice.
