They are strategically positioned in areas with significant population flow, previously favoured by students who needed convenient access to study. Moreover, goshiwons are relatively affordable. Some even refer to them as a fusion of goshiwons and hotels, offering one-month contracts. While most goshiwons have shared shower rooms, laundry facilities, communal kitchens, and toilets, some provide single rooms with everything, including a washing machine, toilet, bed, and desk—similar to officials. Goshiwons provide a peaceful work environment, surrounded by charming cafes and delightful restaurants.
